Customers can enjoy simple, natural food at an Australian cafe at Cafe YOU. The espresso comes from freshly roasted, quality coffee beans, and the food comes from local ingredients. Try the Dirty Latte, a latte with chai powder. Kids can enjoy the Babyccino, an espresso-sized cup of frothed milk with cocoa.    

Breakfast options include the Avocado Smash, toasted homemade bread with smashed avocado. The original has cherry tomato, feta cheese, chili flakes, and extra virgin olive oil, and the YOU comes with pickled onions, cucumber, and spicy togarashi. You can add one or two poached eggs or vegan feta cheese.

Omelets come with toast and organic eggs. The smoked salmon omelet has goat cheese, arugula, red pepper, caper cream, and onion. With the American omelet, you’ll get bacon, mushroom, onion, and cheddar cheese. The Bowl of Health comes with Greek or vegan yogurt, house-made granola, and fresh fruit. The homemade, toasted banana bread includes ricotta cheese, honey, and walnuts.

Dinner and brunch are available several days every month, and the menus change every time. Frequent themes include Taco Tuesday, High Tea, Thai Wine Dinner, German Wine Dinner, and Middle Eastern Wine Dinner. On Monday through Saturday, Cafe You is open from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s closed on Sundays, and breakfast ends at 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturdays.

Perk & Brew opened in 2015, and it offers breakfast, lunch, snacks, and coffee. Try the toasted marshmallow latte or the coconut mocha macchiato. You can choose from various iced tea flavors, including lime, blueberry, passion fruit, orange, pineapple, peach, and strawberry. 

For lunch, try the giant meatball bread bowl, a beef meatball topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese in a toasted bread bowl. With the pesto chicken wrap, you’ll get grilled chicken, basil pesto, tomato, lettuce, onion, and goat cheese in a spinach wrap, and you can choose potato chips or pasta salad.

Pick a root beer float or a Belgian waffle sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and caramel on a Belgian waffle for a sweet treat. The Affogato Amber has two scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with hot espresso. You can visit on most days from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Perk & Brew is open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The art inside all comes from local artists.

The French Press has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and outstanding coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. It uses fresh fruits and vegetables delivered every morning from local growers, and most ingredients are organic. You can get organic milk or almond milk, and the gelato is made fresh every day.

Many specialty coffees are offered, including the French Kiss with hazelnut and caramel syrup and the Dirty Banana with chocolate and banana puree. Strawberry, mango, and banana smoothies are also available. You can choose a wheat tortilla wrap with egg, sausage, salsa, and pepper jack cheese for breakfast. For lunch, seafood, veggie, and meat quiches are available. This place is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Penny’s Coffee Bar

Penny’s Coffee Bar is named after the owner’s dog, and it supports Cape Coral Animal Shelter and many other charities for pets. This Cafe makes fresh coffee, pastries, and bagels every day. You can try mocha or white mocha coffee, spiced chai, matcha, a milkshake, pina colada, strawberry banana, or mango smoothie. 

Genuine French macarons, cookies, scones, donuts, cannolis, Danishes, cinnamon buns, and turnovers are available. For breakfast, try the peanut butter and banana or avocado toast. Weekly specials include Muffin Monday, Tuna Melt Tuesday, and Frappe Friday. On many evenings, you can enjoy board games, live music, tarot readings, trivia, and comedy performances. The Chocolate Cafeteria

The Chocolate Cafeteria is a Cuban coffee shop and pizzeria. It was named for its hot chocolate, and you can also choose cappuccino, espresso, shakes, coffee with milk, and more. Try an omelet with Cuban sausage, onion, cheese, and peppers on Cuban bread for breakfast. Cuban toast with Swiss or cream cheese is also available. 

You can get spaghetti with lobster, shrimp, bacon, ham, beef, or sausage for lunch or dinner. You can also order a pizza or get a pork sandwich. For dessert, enjoy chocolate pizza or flan. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and you can pick up orders on Friday until midnight. The Chocolate Cafeteria closes at 5 p.m. on Sundays.
